Posted 24 Mar 2005 by Heffed Post: If you want to see the change right away even though the server is down, you can change it manually. -Shut down the client. -Backup your account.xml for LHC in case you make a mistake. -Open the account .xml in a text editor, and change the resource share number. -Save the changes and exit the .xml file. -Restart BOINC, and you will now see the new resource share. |

Posted 29 Sep 2004 by Heffed Post: Are you on dial up? It sounds like the lockup the 4.xx clients experience when it tries to contact the servers and you are offline. It doesn't usually take a full restart though. Just exit and restart the client. |
