1) Message boards : Number crunching : Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates (Message 44115)

Well the certs error seems to have now occurred on my machine (I was not affected the original 2020 May 30 problem). It was working fine until what seemed liked 2021 Jan 15, 0:00 UT....it may have been slightly earlier, 2021 Jan 15, 0:00 CERN time?

After reading all of the various solutions people put out there I am unsure what works..The few that I have tried haven't worked.

Thank you. Unchecking the "Run native if available?" box did the trick.

I keep getting the message that there are no tasks available for Theory. The server status, however, says that there are lots of WUs available. Are there some sort of minimum specs that my computer no longer meets or something else?

I am noticing similar activity with my WUs as Ray Murray. Although some of mine went as high as 25% progress before returning to 0%. One additional thing I notice is that this drop in progress coincides with the first checkpoint.

Mostly there are much more users with great computing capabilities which tend to evacuate the server much faster then he status page can be updated.

The status page update, I believe, happens more often than once every 2+ hours. Various computers received work, shortly thereafter I got the "no tasks available message," then about 2 hours later the server still says that tasks were available. I know some projects send out work that is assigned for specific hardware, especially while testing new apps. I doubt this is the case here (Eric correct me if I am wrong).

Just try it every 15 minutes again and eventually you will succeed.

One of the reasons that Boinc uses the "CPU work fetch deferral interval" is to prevent such actions by the crunchers. After my original message, the interval went up to 10 hours...which is the server's way of saying "get lost."

From the server status page it appears that you have lots of work available. Unfortunately when I try to down load new tasks I get a server message saying "Project has no tasks available." Furthermore you slap on a "CPU work fetch deferral interval of 02:40:00."

Do you want me to crunch for this project or not?

It is either posting here or waiting for the credit situation to stabilize.

I think Conan is referring to the case where multiple WU all have about the same processing time but the granted credits are very different.

In my case (run, CPU, credit):
2,075.13 1,827.55 7.22
2,034.96 1,892.15 50.31
2,141.98 1,980.95 26.91
2,114.57 1,974.30 34.65

Conan's results appear to be similar.
