Under General Preferences, it states:

These apply to all BOINC projects in which you participate.
On computers attached to multiple projects, the most recently modified preferences will be used.



But LHC seems to be out of work for a while now, so it seems likely that you'll just be downloading Einstein WU's anyway. :)

Not everybody creates a User Profile (I haven't!) but they can include their country in their account information. So I don't think there's any discrepancy.

The visualisation on these WU's gives you a good idea of how it's progressing. The number of turns completed out of the total to be done lets you work out the percentage done. This should correspond to the percentage shown in the BOINC GUI.
