ADMIN! - Project Down Errors & Message Board Errors
(Message 7493)
Posted 7 May 2005 by Ulrich Metzner Post: > Yes, we noticed that too. We are trying to improve the situation. > It partially works now :) I was just able to report my results but the server claims there is no work available. I presume you stopped the server giving out work to clear the backlog. Good job! |

Can't parse scheduler reply
(Message 3930)
Posted 17 Oct 2004 by Ulrich Metzner Post: About the connections to the database: @Developers: Have you ever heard of connection pooling? That's the solution to problems like you are getting here. No offense intended, but that's what i've (as a web developer) seen always if a bottleneck like this occurs... Just a thought. greetz, Uli |

LHC contacting, um, Seti?
(Message 3255)
Posted 5 Oct 2004 by Ulrich Metzner Post: This is a known issue to the BOINC developers over @ Seti. Sometimes the BOINC client confuses the projects. It is normally cleared after a successful connect to the scheduler. The preceeding poster hasn't read the following line: LHC@home - 2004-10-05 14:39:01 - Message from server: Invalid or missing authenticator. Visit this project's web site to get an authenticator. Which means BOINC has actually contacted the Seti server and rejected the LHC authenticator. greetz, Uli |
