I'm seeing the same on my machine ... no Sixtrack work send although the server status page claims that many are available ...

I don't see any options to opt-in/out VB tasks ... I still have the original options in my account preferences :

Ressource shares
Use CPU ?
Allow test application ?
Allow Sixtrack email
Allow Sixtrack to display computers
Default location
CPU % for graphics

Am I missing something ?

Edit : I had to edit my preference and validate them again to get them applied ... weird ...

Unfortunately ASICs are dedicated to the task they are designed for ... they can't do something else.

The market of ASICs for a specific BOINC application would be too small to pay for the development and production costs ...

It's just a matter of luck ... sometimes, on of my machine will get work (filling up cache), but all other will miss the window and will remain idle ... :(

I don't know if it's related or not, but I just got a computation error on http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/workunit.php?wuid=30223344 ... this is the first time I see such a thing on this project/computer.

I kown that's quite rare, bit it might also be a faulty CPU ... does anyone know this host on other BOINC projects ?

Do you plan to run you test with "sixtracktest" application ? If yes, I think I'm already opted in to this application and ready to test :)

My new laptop (i7-4710HQ) is only getting the "gen" application ... the scheduler doesn't even try to test the other applications.

Estimated rate for this application is 18.71 GFLOPS.
