Pinggggggggg

It would be awesome if this could be fixed so the project could go back on the whitelist.

Even if you don't care about gridcoin, wouldn't it be good to have a stats system that is secure and not easily cheated? If you ignore gridcoin, the boinc stats of a project are the only "currency" the volunteer crunchers are getting back for their work. If you can't even give them accurate stats of the work computed, it's kind of a slap in the face to those users who have machines working hard to try to get to the top of the list.

From what I understand, there is a bug in the stats system LHC uses that makes it possible to cheat, thus gridcoin had to drop support for LHC until the bug gets fixed. I don't know the details on this bug but I can probably get details if anyone is interested in trying to fix it.

Hi
Does this project have any plans on correcting whatever the stats issues was so it can get back on the Gridcoin Whitelist again? That would be great if so, LHC was my favorite project by far on BOINC and I'd love to get back in to it.

The problem with setting workload prefs that way, is that it's global among all your machines running BOINC. I wish there were more options in the app itself. That way, different machines performing different primary (non-boinc) tasks, could have their own unique boinc prefs to use their free time.

LHC is my favorite BOINC project, but it only has work for me to do about half the time, maybe a bit less.
I'm wondering if there is any sort of RSS/XML feed or twitter stream that notifies of new sixtrack work units? I'd love to be able to pounce right away, as soon as new work becomes available. Meaning, put other projects on hold so my clients work on JUST LHC until it's out of units.

Fiiiiiiinally some work units again!

Whenever I'm doing LHC, since work units are always generally sparse,I keep my client set to 10 days/10 days to try to get as many downloaded to me as I can. I rarely ever get more than a day or so's worth. Right now I have about 45 or so work units in my queue. At least that's something. SCIENCE!

Its been daysand still no work units. meanwhile the stats page still says theres 180,000+ plus.

Is it possible the system is set to only give any individual host a fix amount of work units and no more,as a way to try to make sure everyone gets some?
And now that there are tons of work units, everyone has maxed out their quota and the 'feeder' server has no one to give all this work to?

That's what it has felt like to me.

Ive been having this problem a lot lately too, including right now.

190,117 work units ready to send, but I haven't been able to download one all day. :(
