They will probably release a new version as soon as they worked out some of the bugs in the current software (and changed the screensaver text) after all, with the current server performance being bad it's pretty uncalled for to release a new client version (and thus forcing all LHC windows users to download it) if there isn't a good reason for it.

I had this problem with 4.10 but haven't seen it on 4.09(which is what I'm running) Have you checked with the task manager if the science app is using any CPU time or if it's just idling?
