I'm running SixTrack on an XP machine and there are 9 tasks marked as "Validation inclusive" and 25 marked "Waiting for validation" dating back to 19 June. Some of those jobs have pretty long run times (8 hours or more -- unusual). What's going on? I'm going to suspend SixTrack work on this machine until I get an answer.

It certainly would help to include a link in the message!! Otherwise, how do you expect anyone to find it??

Maybe you should go back and read what you said before and stop wasting my time typing info for members who have just asked why the server says that over the last 6 years.

Looks pretty clear to me -- and I have NOT been getting those messages over the past 6 years -- only over the past week. And only on a Win10 machine, not on my XP machine.

The messages are easy enough to ignore, but I thought maybe there was some problem someone in control of things might want to know about. . . (Guess no intended good deed goes unpunished. . . :-( )

I keep getting this message on one of my machines:

11/16/2016 9:34:25 PM | LHC@home | Message from server: VirtualBox is not installed

Why? I got it both before and after I reconnected to the new website.

OH -- I just read some of the other posts; guess I'd better check which tasks I have checked. . .

I just checked and the only one with a "yes" is SixTrack. . . So the original question still stands.

I imagine Eric stopped the work due to validation issues while he fixes things.

The status of all servers being shown as "Running" is very misleading if all work has been stopped. . .

The server status page show that 7900+ tasks are available, but when I request tasks, I'm told that none are available -- what's going on??

I have one that has been running at high priority for 33+ plus hours and constantly shows about 60 hours remaining! It's running on a dual core AMD and the other core (and the GPU) is doing other work OK ... so, I guess I'll just let it keep running until either a) it completes, b) errors out, or c) exceeds its due date of 8/14.

Since the change of URL, things have gone a bit haywire. I reset the project on one of my BOINC clients and it never properly reset. It then appeared I wasn't registered anymore, so I created a new account. There's no sign of my old one, the team actually has no founder and my credit is at 0.

Did you detatch and then reattach using the new URL (http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/) and your old ID and password? If NO to any of the above, then that's your problem. Your account ID should be your email address; your password is for you to figure out... If you detatch and reattach using the old account info, then you should recover the original credits (in theory, at least...).

My new credits are not yet showing up in BOINCstats -- but hopefully they will eventually.

I just noticed in my signature that they are now showing up! :-)

Days have gone by and yet no wu received. Each click of Update gets a Update requested by user And a Fetching schedular list... then Communication deferred for 24 hours message....
What am I doing wrong?

Apparently you are still attached to the 'old' LHC@home project. You need to detatch and re-attach using the URL http://lhcathomeclassic.cern.ch/sixtrack/ Your credits should be shown properly (at least mine were) and you should get WUs as they become available.

My new credits are not yet showing up in BOINCstats -- but hopefully they will eventually.

\\\'View Pending\\\' in my user account list 8 pending credits dating back 1 to 2 years -- most with 0 credit. I don\\\'t really care, but am wondering why these have not been purged form the system by now.
15) Questions and Answers : Sixtrack : Computer bogs down when Sixtrack tries to do screensaver graphics. (Message 10143)

Post:
I'm using a 450 MHz Pentium III (yeah, I'm a bit behind the times...) running Win2000 (with all current updates). BOINC is set as my screen saver. When the system goes into screen saver mode and Sixtrack is running, the machine bogs down and does not respond to mouse or keyboard for many seconds. This does not happen when SETI@home or Einstein@home tasks are running. Any ideas?
