This year (2006) and Last Christmas (2005). Although the site is down for maintenance. There are some 18,000+ WU's sitting in the queue. Ready your wagon for the land rush. They're about to get out the bugles and start this machine up again.

All you need to do is go into team maintenance and unsubscribe all the members. The team will eventually die on it's own.

We saw the same thing occur when the 4.x core clients were released and the applications were using the 3.x versions. So this does not surprise me in the slightest....

7) Message boards : Number crunching : I got credit! (Message 6008)

I also got credit but it's just a "trickle" (reminds me of Climate Prediction). I've been crunching and successfully returning results for a couple of days now and have my RAC all the way up to 4.34 cobblestones. Considering what LHC has gone through to get to Boinc 4 level and the new hardware as well, we can cut them some slack and continue to crunch till they get the problems solved. At least the "science" portion of the returned result is 100% usable and the problem is just in keeping track of the cpu time used and the issuance of our credits. We all have the same problem so it's no big deal. We can race getting a reward of only a few cobblestones. Like getting into a penny poker game, it's just as intense with the stakes being a little lower.

take a look at http://lhcathome.cern.ch/workunit.php?wuid=26632 and you will see that host 4211 is shown as in-progress yet this WU was due to expire on 4 Oct 2004 and did not get marked as such.

11) Message boards : Number crunching : what is tunescan? (Message 2800)
Posted 29 Sep 2004 by Profile Remember911
Post:
I have completed two of the Tunescans and received over 80 points for each one so they are better than doing the short WU's and getting 5 or 6 points.
