They need to release new versions fast cause they don't want to scare away new users coming from seti classic. If they update it fast enough, the newest users will grab the newest app and wont' have the problems. It is a recommended version because if you are downloading the app you should get that one. You don't /have/ to upgrade unless you have one of the problems it fixes.
