With this post I want to excuse me by all users who I stressed yesterday (04.11.04) with the Thread : Reset (detach) from LHC....
Vielmals Entschuldigung an all diejenigen welche ich gestern (04.11.04) mit meinem Thread : Reset (detach).....gestresst habe.

I was stressed too; in posting Questions, searching for Infos and waiting for Replies (but there were none [aber es kamen keine]).

A lot of thanks to RIC : His reply solved about 90% of my problems.

The following lines are mostly addressed to RIC (personally)

Ich war mehrere Jahre in der EDV tätig bis Ende 1999 (war auch damals schon bei Seti dabei); hatte dann die Nase voll von Computern und schaute 4 Jahre lang keine Kiste mehr an.
Vor etwas mehr als einem Monat kaufte ich mir ein Notebook, kam wieder zu Seti dann BOINC zu climate und am 20.10 hatte ich das Glück auch bei LHC einen Acc. zu eröffnen.
Da ich nächstens einen Dell XPS erhalte und auf ihm LHC@home crunchen will, wurde ich durch die mir nicht zu erklärenden Vorkommnisse (Newby) beunruhigt.
nachdem ich auf meine Fragen keine Antworten bekam (das meinte ich mit ernst genommen werden), wurde ich ärgerlich und schrieb mal eben obengenannten Thread.
Erstaunlich für mich war,wie dann plötzlich Antworten kamen. Aber wie gesagt kontakte mich; denn es würde hier zu weit führen und das in deutsch.
Ansonsten (Falls Du es nicht schon getan) schau mal mein Profil bei Seti an.

accepting your point of view, let me share MY personal opinion:
the response cames in the same time: no responce in the most case..
Or perhaps month later.

Unfortunately most of us humans are not telepathic robots, so we have to seek and seek for information. this needs more time as we probaly have.

I passed the same way, coming new to the project, knowing boinc a little from other project. Including the "message/posting" rates of seti.
It looks like, here it can pass hours or day till new posting.
There is no must..
Every project has it specialities, it takes a days/weeks to make known the thinggy how it works, downtimes, availability of work, what to do localy to support the project as best U can, in thinkling, in technical belongs (downclock cpus!).

The problems was, so I guess, never on your side, just your "lack of information" how the project runs, was giving U a bad moment. Today is an other day. I had a bad day 4 week sago. So what. We ARE humans

After a while contributing and supporting for LHC, U will see, there is no reason to "un-relax", You lern to deal/manage with the messsages
Perhaps one "advise" could be minimise windows
