Taken from this thread on the SETI site, posted yesterday afternoon:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sometime this morning the LHC@Home servers lost general connectivity to the Internet. The servers themselves are up and running, and have some ICMP connection to the outside world, but most of the IP protocols used to communicate are not working, so file uploads, downloads, web site access, WU reporting are all down.

This looks like a firewall problem, and Markku was investigating.

>>there is a news section at http://athome.web.cern.ch/athome/

This reports "There seems to be network problems. If you can read this, they are most likely solved". Not so. There's still no UDP or TCP connectivity, but ICMP packets seem to arrive just fine.

Markku has been made aware, but like all of us, he needs his beauty sleep!

I seem to think what was being asked by Guido is

At what times are the servers online for up and downloads
On a day to day running not unscheduled outages

It appears to go off line about 11pm GMT normally and comes back on line around 3 to 4 am but a clear picture of the times would be useful

It seems to go offline at exactly 6:00pm Michigan Time & come back up around 10 or 11 pm. But it usually so slow I don't even bother with it until in the morning...
