I'm fairly new to the BOINC client and the LHC project. I've noticed recently that many of my work units are crashing with a Fortran error. I see that there is a new sixtrack version (4.47). How do I get that new version installed? Will the BOINC client automatically update on all my Windows computers? Most of them are already using BOINC 4.13, which is newer than the BOINC client listed on the LHC page. |

As you download the next workunit, BOINC will also download the new sixtrack. It is fully automatic :) |

If 4.46 is still installed, the server will only send WUs that are marked as being 4.46 ones. To get the new sixtrack, one must either detach/reattach or reset the project. |

Not correct, Scottatron. Any WUs already downloaded will complete using the installed version of the app. Once new WUs start to download they will be marked for a newer version, and the newer version will be installed with them. If you really must have the new version right now then a project reset will be necessary. Giskard - the first telepathic robot. |
