Changed Location of Host but nothing happened

I changed the Location of my Host 15477 from Home to School and set new general prefs for School. But in my client_state.xml there is set Home as location. I have only LHC running and updated some times. Is this a known bug?? |

Yes there are 2 bugs involved. Both have been fixed in source (hopefully). CCv4.51 and later include the client side fix. The server side issue was fixed about when the version 4.13 client came out. I don't think LHC has updated the server side since the fix was included because the 'unread posts' flag was added at about the same time. John Keck -- BOINCing since 2002/12/08 -- |

I have just run up against this problem. My solution, until it's done properly, is: Stop BOINC on each machine Edit client_state.xml with Notepad or something similar, At the bottom of the file find the tag and change it as needed Save the changes Restart BOINC. This seems to have worked, at least for now! Giskard - the first telepathic robot. |
