I don't know if it would be a lot of work, but I would love to see a windows command line version of LCH instead of Boinc. Boing is buggy and really heavy on my pc.

BOINC shouldn't use any noticable CPU time as long as you keep it set to the Messages tab. Even a P-II 300 MHz box sees 0.5% CPU usage with BOINC on Messages and minimized.

BOINC has nothing to do with calculation of LHC@home. If you turn off the screensaver, set your preferences to always do work, and set the tab on 'work' then minimize boinc, it should have not problems. However, there IS is commandline boinc interface. It is located in your BOINC directory under the name boinc_cli.exe, however, I wouldn't recommend using it; you can't attach to projects unless you quit and restart, can't view graphics, can't view diskspace, etc. However, if your machine is slower than what the guy above me said(

In 4.5x, the GUI will controll the CLI that will control the project applications. This allows for remote control as well as controlling the CLI when running as service.

Actually i click on the transfers tab, which is usually empty, then minimize. Worst tab to leave it on is the disk tab.
