Well, I finally got my first error message with regards to an LHC WU. I have just upgraded v4.09 core client to v4.13 tonight. I read the good and bad in the message boards on the SETI site and decided to do the upgrade. I got this error message about 15 minutes ago: LHC@home - 2004-10-13 21:26:27 - Unrecoverable error for result v64lhc1000prosix30s14_16584.15_1_sixvf_27908_2 (There are no child processes to wait for. (0x80) - exit code 128 (0x80)) In the "Work" tab it says "Computation error" under the "Status" column. I'm assuming that this may just be a WU problem. Any takers? L8R.... --- |

I recently booted up my old P3-500 using Knoppix because it doesn't have a hard drive right now. Since then I have had a helluva time with errors on it. I don't THINK it is the hardware... Until a few weeks ago it was flawlessly crunching seti and predictor and running my stats website. Then I upgraded. I'm seeing a lot of work units like this: 2004-10-15 01:50:45 [LHC@home] Unrecoverable error for result v64lhc1000profour17s12_14518.18_1_sixvf_8194_9 (process exited with code 12 (0xc)) Most of the ones I see right now are code 12. a few are code 240 (0xf0) Are we maybe seeing a batch of bad work units? -------------------------------------- A member of The Knights Who Say Ni!
