Out of curiosity, I looked at a couple of my pending WU's today. Some have three or more valid results, and yet still show pending (and keep getting sent out to more people.) http://lhcathome.cern.ch/workunit.php?wuid=266533 is an example of this -- a few seconds after receiving a result from someone, the workunit gets sent out to yet another user.

Could this be a bug in the server software? Or is it just that some parts of the program having caught up with others, and this kind of thing will happen from time to time?

The validate state is "check skipped", it must be a bug in the server part of BOINC as it happens with Seti work units too. So for some reason it didn't even try to validate those results.

edit : It seems to happen quite often when at least one of the first three results has a client upload error which would be http://lhcathome.cern.ch/result.php?resultid=953217 in your example.


edit2: In the meantime the work unit and its results disappeared.
