So.. the seti project gets a new server..
so.. they issue a RA! RA! WE FIXED IT! message.

UPDATED: We successfully swapped our database hardware, giving the master database access to much faster disks. Within a couple hours weeks-old queues drained completely. We're not completley done with the swap, but all parts of the BOINC system are back up and running full blast. "

Muahahahah! Famous last words!

They've since been smited for tempting fate.

The disk array holding the upload and download directories failed again this afternoon. This is entirely different hardware than what was involved with the database upgrade depicted below. Currently the volumes on this disk array is resyncing, which means the scheduling server will be off for the evening. In layman's terms - you can't send/receive work for the next ten hours or so.
