Today I'm having problems to report finished tasks because of the gateway timeout error.

I'm not able to get or report any work due to timeouts.

BOINC is in a no communication state effectly, the server requests no communication for 2 hours, at the 2 hours, it tries once but there is gateway timeout, then it wait 3 hours etc.

I increase my work buffer from 0.1 to 1 day, hopefully this will lower the load.

this long-lasting problem is really annoying - no idea why it's not been solved yet :-(

Lets see how it goes over a longer period, but its not initally so good, each host got about maximium work (58 WUs) and this morning they are all completed but there was no contact with the servers in the ~24hr so they are now idle waiting for a sucessful server communication.

I don't get more than 10 tasks/client and also had problems yesterday with communication to the DB-server (timeouts) and webpages.
Today rather normal except the longer existing results request from a host. Seems to me a bad indexed DB.
Reporting tasks:
15 May 08:10:36 Reporting 1 completed tasks
15 May 08:10:41 Scheduler request completed

15 May 09:15:42 Reporting 1 completed tasks

Uploads/downloads seem to be working now. At least I managed to upload the queue that has built up overnight and got some fresh CMS tasks.

Again timeout issue:

Gateway Timeout

The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.

with now and then: Can't connect to database

10 is the server cap for Theory tasks if this is what you request.

My 2 less powerful computers got a connection.

The other still are stuck, with timeouts, maybe they got blocked as they are contacting the server too frequently?

Just my noticing. When I try to open page with tasks for my computer, I get http timeout. Maybe there are to much rows, maybe you lost some index or some problems with fragmentation of table

In general my computers can not even contact the project any more if I leave them.

As Saturn said if I set to NNT then they will report work and there is a contact.

Even though I set the work buffer to 1 day, for my fastest computers the limits of 10 Theory, 8 CMS and 40 ATLAS are not enough work for 1 day so they continue to request work after they are done in so they start to request work after a short period of time where the Deferred for: time , Req by project start to appear.

I'm not sure what I can do to not conact the servers so often but maintain consistant work.

I am afraid there is not much YOU can do until the project team finally gets the problem solved. No idea when this will happen - maybe it will not happen at all :-(
