The news said: beta is over, but boinc says it's beta release. I'm confused! What's right? I'm using boinc 4.09 and sixtrack 4.46 Sixtrack is updating automatically, if a new version is available, isn't it? Why does it say it's beta? |

I think, you misunderstood me. I didn't mean boinc is beta. If a LHC workunit is running and the screensaver is displaying it says "beta release" in the upper right. Even if a new workunit (downloaded after the beta-is-over-message) is running. Why does LHC (not boinc) say it's (still) beta? Sorry I can't speak English so well. I learned it at school 10 years ago. |

They will probably release a new version as soon as they worked out some of the bugs in the current software (and changed the screensaver text) after all, with the current server performance being bad it's pretty uncalled for to release a new client version (and thus forcing all LHC windows users to download it) if there isn't a good reason for it. |
