In the past few days, on more than one of my hosts Theory tasks got finished with "result successful", but "status invalid", and no credit points.

If you see the status of the workunit https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/workunit.php?wuid=229312323 you'll see that you got that task as a resend because the previous cruncher did not finish his task before deadline. You then started crunching your copy of the task but before you finished your task the previous guy finished his task, returned it and got credit for it. The end result is that your task is marked invalid. I have also got bitten by this situation.

Too bad, what a waste. As I said, I've had several such cases within the recent past :-(
The procedure should definitely be changed in order not to annoy us volunteers.

after the task has run for almost 5 days, it got finished successfully, but status "invalid", because someone else was faster by 1 day :-(
I can't believe this :-(

Since the end of October 2024, when as a result of the time change from daylight savings time to "normal" time, more than a dozen Herwig7 longrunners crashed, I experienced all kind of troubles with Theory tasks. Really annoying!
To crunch them turns out being a waste more and more . Electricity costs here trippled at the beginning of the Ukraine war, and from Jan. 1st, 2025 on they went up by another 30%.
So I am no longer going to waste my resources and my money for these faulty Theory tasks, hence I set Theory to NNT on all of my hosts.

My hope is that some time ATLAS will be back, and eventually CMS, who knows.
