As said in the article, not a match for LHC:) LHC will have 70000 (7TeV vs. 100MeV) times more energetic collisions. (just in case somebody thinks LHC@home calculations have no future:) Markku Degerholm LHC@home Admin |

What I foresee happening is that those table top laser accelerators will grow to bigger machines with even larger electron energies. Peoples need for speed will make the desktop accelerators grow as if they were on steroids.
