(REUTERS) GENEVA, SWITZERLAND In an amazing show of determination and teamwork, the Ministry of Silly Walks advanced in the LHC@home standings today and hurdled past their long time rivals The Knights Who Say Ni!. At a party this evening, Ministry of Silly Walks founder Michael Berger was seen displaying rude and taunting gestures at the Ministry�s opponents. Mr. Berger was also overheard praising his teammates boisterously with garbled and slurred speech after drinking what appeared to be a liter of beer originating from every country his teammates hailed from. �I plan on makin� this a f#@%�* tradition� he proclaimed. �You couldn�t ask for a better group of teammates� do or die� crunch till they drop� and then, they crunch some more.� �Around the world in eighty beers, that what I�m f#@%�* talkin� �bout.� Mr. Berger was eventually escorted from the establishment in handcuffs by the local Constable. This incident turned out to be a heartbreaking conclusion to an otherwise triumphant day for the Ministry. Heh... is it just me or did SOMEONE move this thread ot LHC cafe and delete a bunch of previous posts? No matter. I still say Ni! in your general direction! And of course welcome to Angstrom. I, for one, am very pleased to have read that bulletin from Reuters; so, thank you for posting it to these forums! Fortunately, regarding the somewhat traumatic events which transpired toward the end of our celebratory party, I was still flush from my recent pay day; and thus -- thanks to a brave homing pigeon of which even Mr. Reuters would have been proud -- sufficient bail money found its way to the local precinct wherein our Fearless Leader was even then being denied his liberty. (The Ministry now owes me a fiver.) =^..^= |

(REUTERS) GENEVA, SWITZERLAND We are terribly sorry but it seems we jumped the gun on our last report about The Ministry of Silly Walks passing The Knights Who Say Ni! in the LHC rankings. The Knights reclaimed their rightful spot at #14 today. Also, according to this graph it seems that The Knights did not have to break much of a sweat to accomplish this since LHC still only accounts for 1% of their total credit for the BOINC platform. On the other hand, here you can see that The Ministry has put most of their resources toward LHC. In an exclusive interview, the team founder known as "Lizard" said that there will be a celebration later tonight in the team's IRC channel (#setiathome on EFnet). The Knights are currently out gathering supplies for the aforementioned celebration but it looks like it will be a wild time. NI!! NI!! NI!! I for one think it would be a fine idea if those of you with Silly Walks were to join forces with the grand and glorious Knights Who Say NI!. There are persons with outrageous accents who taunt us all (including the prestigious members of the Ministry). It is time to deliver a large wooden badger into their courtyard! NI, and I approve of this message! |
