First Threadripper are created 2017:
https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/amd/ryzen_threadripper?utm_content=cmp-true
How is it possible to see a Creationdate of a PC here in the Computerlist of Cern from 10 year ago?

I noticed a couple before and I think they said 2011 for a Threadripper
BUT I haven't figured out how to turn one of my old ones into Threadripper yet

To migrate an old computer to a new one you copy the files over, each computer has a GUID as long as this is the same then it stays the same.

I have for example this one:
https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=9930007

I just upgraded to this 13th Gen CPU. I switched OS's Win, Linux, OSX

Sometime I messed it up and didn't copy the files correctly and it made a new number like this one:

https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=10831474

In theroy I assume you could get the GUID from here:

https://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=hostbycpid&cpid=b8d05e1ba92dd93637729e85dcc78930

the CPID is the unique number part, this could be used craft custom xml but I never felt I knew how to do.

e.g.
client_state>
<host_info>
    <timezone>7200</timezone>
    <domain_name>Desktop</domain_name>

Toby, sorry,
have a big problem of understanding this.
In the Computerlist you can match Computer with the same Hardware and
retire this one you want to do.
So, why do you need this xml to do something like this?
No other Boinc Project have such a option to do this (WCG for example).

I imagine that you could take the CPID of an old computer can create a new xml file with the CPID of the old computer on a new computer to reuse the idenity and maintain credits of old computer.

I have many computer that I can't merge for reasons/

The way I have done it in the past when I want to keep an existing id (this wont work on WCG actually not a lot works there)

Go to your LHC account and find the old host ID you want to use
Write down its ID number, then go into that hosts details and get the number of times it has contacted the server

Install BOINC on the new computer as per normal
Disconnect that computer from the Internet (unplug ethernet cable works)
Copy across the old LHC account file from the old host (or any other host with LHC) and place it in the BOINC folder of the new host
Start BOINC or restart BOINC (still with internet disconnected)
Then stop BOINC again.
Go to client_state.xml file and open for editing
Scroll to the project you want (LHC in this case)
Locate the line that says <rpc_seqno></rpc_seqno>
this is the number of times it has contacted the server, write the number you copied from the old host details between the >< and add 1,
so if the number is <rpc_seqno>2300</rpc_seqno> then you change it to 2301 on the new host (this important or it wont work)
Then locate the line <hostid></hostid>
And add in the id number of your old host.
Save the file.

Now you can reconnect the internet and restart BOINC and you should be reusing the same Host id you had before.
This works on most BOINC projects (not WCG or Gerasim, maybe some others)
