I got this a couple of weeks ago. Anyone know what it's on about? I don't believe I have a password stealer on my machine. I'm not the sort of person who collects viruses - only thing changed recently is I installed Squid. I do use a VPN occasionally. I'm thinking the two together upset something and made me look suspicious. Accessing this forum (which is what the ban appears to be about) does not go through squid, but does go through the VPN. Boinc on all machines goes through Squid. Boinc on 1 of 8 machines goes through the VPN if it's on (rarely). And why am I banned by a fullstop? So I'm thinking either:

1) The server made an error - if this is the case, I'd like more details incase there's a problem, it's too vague to take any action.
2) An admin banned me (not sure why) and put that in as a reason to annoy me.

The reason given was:

We have suspended your LHC@home account as we have gathered intelligence that your passwords have been compromized via a password stealer. Most likely your PC has been infected by it.

Hence, all passwords typed on that PC must be considered as being compromized and have to be changed. HOWEVER, do NOT change those passwords from that PC UNLESS that PC has been reinstalled.

The suspension will end at 25 Jan 2023, 10:10:14 UTC

Do you have checked your Win11-PC's for ransomware in ofline mode?
This is with Win11 possible.
Also, you can check this PC's with a Linux bootable USB-Stick,
to find more details about it.
Do you have TPM active?
For me, have the Squid inside a CentOS9-VM.

There is no ransomware, I don't get that sort of thing. If there is, the LHC server needs to give me more information. Like how does it know? Not traceable without further details.

No I don't use a TPM. I think one or two of my 8 machines have such a thing, but I haven't turned it on as I see no need. Sounds like yet more invasions of privacy. I had to use Rufus to bypass the stupid TPM check Win 11 does on installing.

I have Win 11 on everything, and Squid is on my main Windows machine, the one I post to here from. Only Boinc (from all machines) accesses squid. Web browser etc does not.
