Hello, I don't know how to configure the maximum number of simultaneous tasks and the max number of CPUs used per single task. Assuming I have 32GB RAM and 8 CPUs available for this project, what is better for computing efficiency: - 1 task with 8 CPUs assigned - 2 tasks with 4 CPUs each - 4 tasks with 2 CPUs each - 8 tasks with 1 CPU each By "computing efficiency" I mean how to setup that to do the best possible job for LHC@home :) I would appreciate if someone could explain it. |

Since you are running ATLAS-tasks only, the best solution IMO for your machine is 2 tasks with 4 CPUs/task. I'm not sure how your machine will handle this, because you have a special CPU from the 12th generation with 4 Efficiency and 8 Performance cores (the latter with 2 threads each). |

Interesting. It seems much more complicated than I thought :) Thank you! |

I do all tasks with 1 CPU but atlas uses a lot of RAM due issue with how it works on windows. So with 32 GB of ram you can only run 3 WUs, as CP said you are probably better off to run a few more CPU / WU |
