Name Theory_2390-1126740-276_0 The information needed to extend the time to report completion of this task as indicated in the copy and paste on the left Workunit 193202661 of this posting is provided to permit a technician the capability to extend the reporting date by at least SIX (6) more days after the Report deadline of 19 August 2022, 16::22:12 UTC. The time already consumed by my newly activated Dell XPS I7 on this task totals over 5.5 days. Please take timely action before the expiration date established so as to prevent the loss of over some 130 hours of processing time.BET Austin Texas USA. The time deadline to complete this task came and went and the REDLINE notice was posted on the results page that the deadline to complete had passed. Therefore: OVER five (5) days of processing was wasted and I am withdrawing from further processing for LHC@home. Truly sad but the scientific and technical personnel at Krembil Research Institute will welcome my added support as they have absorbed the World Community Grid program that was previously funded and run by IBM. Bill Edit: I have an additional and identical task running that requires 181.5 hours to complete BUT there are only 154 hours remaining before the deadline to complete; therefore an additional about 100 hours of processing that are about to be wasted as soon as I execute the abort function. Sad to do this but there is no other choice. |

...Krembil Research Institute will welcome my added support as they have absorbed the World Community Grid program that was previously funded and run by IBM.However, even after months of transition from IBM to Krembil, WCG does not run properly. Main problem: task downloads get stuck with "transient HTTP error". So don't be too euphoric at this point of time. |

I thank you for your comment and concern and I did initially run into about a 30-40 minute delay when the server initiated a deferment of some 2+ hours in the actions selected; I normally do not like to override the servers initiated delay but I did after a few minutes; hit the override and I was able to download and start processing on my new Dell XPS I7 20 core(thread) device very rapidly. On my other less capable machines, I experienced only a few minutes of delay and now after about an additional 48 ours +- I have had excellent support from the servers: fingers crossed. |
