CMS gives a computation error soon after start, Atlas doesn't use any CPU time.

This is on a machine almost identical to another which is fine. Can anyone spot what's wrong?

Have seen today at Theory some Tasks with problems to connect to the mounted Cern-Server(grid.cern.ch, sft.cern.ch...)
Maybe this is also a reason for this CMS.

No, this is a problem I've had for a while. One machine works fine the other doesn't. Same OS, Boinc version, VB version. Same CPUs. The dodgy one has one revision newer of the MB and slightly less RAM, but pretty much the same system. Other VB projects work fine.

If you have network-cable for both you can change the LAN-Port in the Router for this both cable, mostly is using WifI also difficult.

Not sure what you mean. Both are on the same switch in my garage, which is fed by my internet router in the house. No Wifi. No network problems observed for any computers.

It was only a idea.
Have over the day also a small number of Tasks (mostly Atlas with long running and doing nothing).
The last one this morning discovered - 24 hours doing nothing with 12 CPU's.

I have found the problem but no solution. This computer has a screwed up Windows 11 which says "no internet" on the icon in the systray. But the internet is fine. Browsers work, remote desktop to it works, but AVG will not update as it also says no internet. Whatever windows has done is messing up a few things only. Googling this problem finds lots of people with the same problem, where a few little things like updates and online games fail, but browsers are ok. Nobody ever found a fix.

Have you tried uninstalling AVG ? Are you using VPN of any kind ?

AVG isn't the problem, Windows is. Something is corrupted as I also cannot use the Windows firewall. Windows thinks the internet is off when it isn't.

No, it's a basic Windows 11 installation and AVG and Boinc and Folding at Home, nothing special. It's connected to the same router as 6 working PCs and 2 working smartphones.
