when they reset the credit, do they also reset the WU status? I have a 14 hour wu here, and as I dont crunch 24/7 it wont be finished for a few days, if they are going to reset everything and not accept it when BOINC goes to subit it, then i might as well drop it. If they are going to still accept it then I will keep crunching it...

My Question is if they are going to reset the credits at what point are they going to reset them. They have announced that they are no longer Beta now, so are we going to continue to crunch work units for the next month or 2 & then they are going to reset them or do they have a specific Time Period that they will be set back to...???

Also then I assume a lot of people will be hoarding their finished WU's until the last minute to try and get a jump on the Credits if you are only going to reset the credits and not the WU's...???

My take on the whole thing is if your going to do it then do it...Why keep everybody on pins and needles waiting for it to happen, it should have been done as soon as you announced that your no longer Beta and it would have eliminated a lot of tension on the message boards over the matter...IMO

Hey, what is it, going arround here?

Is it just a strong need to polish our egos, or are we doing a small part in help to science, each one? It is a game, too, collecting and adding sparkling and shining little credits, maybe more than my neighbour has. But, please, let us keep in mind the scientific background of this game.

Why should we are "on pins"? I do not feel so. If there is a need or was a decision to reset the credits, it will reach everyone of use euqal - all our credits will be zero. And the second there after the strongest will be still be the strongest and the quickest will still bring up more credits per day than you and me. SO, what is going on arround here?

No I don't suppose you do with only 130 Credits...But I can assure you a lot of the People with 20,000 or 30,000 and even more would like to keep the credits if possible.

It doesn't bother me either because for 1 I don't have that many Credits myself, and also I've been through Credit reset before with Seti Beta, & when Beta went Live also until they made it public. I just moved on and kept crunching.

My whole point to the last post I made was why announce their going Live then don't reset the Credits when that is their intent, why drag it out, do it and get it over with is all I'm saying or announce there won't be a credit reset...

;-) ...just wait some weeks, let my machines start slowly...

> of the People with 20,000 or 30,000

Oh yes - I notized them even when I started helping in Seti classic,
maybe four years ago. And, if I am right, some of them are using
much more than the four machines I can offer - and others just have
been cheating.

ok. Let keep them all their credits. Maybe some day they will be able,
to buy a new computer and pay with all those credits. Maybe there will
be a meeting IRL, one day and all those credits will bring them at least
a donat ;-)
