I'm getting these errors on one machine frequently: ERROR [COM]: aRC=E_ACCESSDENIED (0x80070005) aIID={5047460a-265d-4538-b23e-ddba5fb84976} aComponent={MachineWrap} aText={The object functionality is limited}, preserve=false aResultDetail=0 Here's a link to a typical result: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=346204664 Due to the errors, the server has understandably set a quota of one task per day on that device. The machine is running Windows 10.and BOINC 7.16.20. I'd appreciate any hints anybody has on how to fix this. Thanks. |

Your Theory-Tasks are all ending after 25 minutes on this computer. This can be a timeout from network, or something with a program, which is controlling your OS (Virus scanner) |

I'd appreciate any hints anybody has on how to fix this.Windows Pro Edition. Did you disable Windows Hyper-V? Hyper-V should be disabled, cause it's conflicting with VirtualBox. |

Thanks for responding, Crystal. I'm not familiar with Hyper-V but it appears that it is installed but not enabled. I.e. in the Windows Features list it is not checked as being turned on. I have another Windows 10 machine that shows the same for Hyper-V and am running some Theory tasks on it now. They "seem" to be running OK, i.e. they've run significantly longer than the failed tasks on the other machine. - Dick |

I don't think it's likely to be a network problem because I'm running LHC on 4 other machines which are having no problems. Ditto with security, they're all running the same app, Digital Secure which is Verizon's offering of McAfee. The odd thing is that this machine was running LHC fine at one time. When COVID arrived on the scene I switched to Rosetta & WCG and just came back to LHC recently. Puzzling. |

Is it your No.4? Processor supports HW virtualization: no is a message from one Theory-Task. No network-error, but it seem HW-Acceleration is not correct detected. What you can do is deinstalling Virtualbox complete and checking BIOS (Maybe new update), or there is a combination somewhere with a problem of Hyper-V anyway. For me in one Pc have made a clean repair installation of Win10pro from the running OS as feature. |
