I have several computers working with Boinc and in several projects, but I have one that all the results that I return myself the mark like invalids :
http://lhcathome.cern.ch/show_host_detail.php?hostid=5377

Until today this computer has sent 107 results that they have taken 160364 seconds and 571,91 claimed credits.

These are some of the invalid results:

I believe that at some time it can be that some result is not been worth, but I don't believe like in this case that all validate them to me as invalids.

Can somebody tell me that it can pass with this computer or if somebody has the same problem?

Greetings Friend.

Have You checked which of Your computers has processed the invalidated results?

If You look at my thread just above, I am having the problem that my AMD processor obviously produces slightly different results compared to an Intel P4 Processor.

Now the 10,000 $ question is, Which Processor can't do math? :-)

I am almost certain, that if a WU is passed to 2 AMD's and one Intel P4, it is going to be the P4 that may see its result invalidated.

EDIT:

I just checked the last WU on Your list. 2 Results are returned for the WU, 1 from a Pentium 4 and one from an AMD!
The remaining host is a Celeron, so beat me on this one: If Intel has made the innards of their Celerons and P4 similar, Your result is going to be rejected as You are the only AMD.

ChrisD

Would You be interested in checking the problem out in private?
I have an idea to check the problem, but I do not have a P4.

AFAIK LHC now has a more relaxed validator than at the beginning of beta testing. So results of different CPUs should validate. But there are still some problems (beside the scientific one: if results are different, then there must be some which aren't usefull for LHC) with e.g. overclocked processors. If you've got a 'normal' system and still all results are invalidated, you may wan't to join another BOINC project with that specific machine.

I don't have an answer but since the BOINC core client has changed this last time, I have an AMD XP2400 running at stock speeds (2GHz) that every 2nd or 3rd result will give a "computation error" and abort the curent WU anywhere from .30sec to 5 or 10min into the unit....

Is this a problem with the new core (BOINC) client build or is it because the LHC Server's gone empty, that these last WU's were the 'dregs' and therefore not as good as they could be??

With no work to replace what's being sent up, at the rate I'm burning through them, I'll be out of 5 days worth of work in less than 4.....

Any ideas from the peeps in charge....or anyone for that matter??

Thanks
