There are awesome additions to the Schedule for The 2021 BOINC Workshop. Steven Clark from nanoHUB has been added to The World of BOINC presentations on April 14 (only 2 sleeps from now) and Max Ryabinin from Learning@home has been added to Tech Talks on April 21. Vitalii Koshura - BOINC for Android, Steven Clark - nanoHUB (San Diego Supercomputer Center) and Max Ryabinin - Learning@home have been added to the Speakers List. The agenda for Community Discussion + Tutorials on April 28 has not been posted yet but World Community Grid Tech Keith Uplinger has an exciting announcement for that day: "I am planning on doing a tutorial similar to what I did in Chicago about setting up a BOINC server and running from scratch. My plan is to have it run on ubuntu 20.04 for ease of use for those to set it up." I received my login details to Day 1, "The World of BOINC", on Wednesday, April 14 several hours ago, so they are being sent out now. There's still time to Register for this free event. |

ACAT 2022: abstract submission is open! The 21st International Workshop on Advanced Computing and Analysis Techniques in Physics Research (ACAT 2022) will take place between Monday, 24th and Friday, 28th October, 2022 at the Villa Romanazzi Carducci in Bari, Italy. We hope to see you there! The 21st edition of ACAT will once again bring together algorithmic and computational experts from a wide range of disciplines, including particle-, nuclear-, astro-, and accelerator-physics as well as high performance computing. Through this unique forum, we will explore the areas where these disciplines overlap with computer science, fostering the exchange of ideas related to cutting-edge computing, data-analysis, and theoretical-calculation technologies. AI meets Reality: The theme of ACAT 2022 reflects the increasing adoption of AI and ML techniques as standard tools in science and beyond. This use in real production workflows shows both successes and new challenges. SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME ACAT Workshops have plenary and parallel sessions during the five-day conference. The parallel sessions cover the following areas: Track 1: Computing Technology for Physics Research, including languages, paradigms, architectures, virtualization, networking and online computing. Track 2: Data Analysis - Algorithms and Tools, including machine learning, analysis techniques, simulation, reconstruction and visualization methods, and future ideas such as quantum computing. Track 3: Computations in Theoretical Physics: Techniques and Methods, including automatic systems, higher order calculations, computer algebra techniques, and theoretical and simulation aspects of computational physics. https://acat2022.infn.it/ |
