Some ppl on S@H say they have and got no problems.
They say also, that you should run 4.11 only if you know what you're doing.

I run all my Boinc clients as a Windows XP service and check them with Boincview. I'm running 4.09 right now, but thought about going to 4.11

Since you have several hosts, you may try on one or two. I would for sure.

Could you please tell me where can I find info on how to run BOINC as a service?

Do not run the Boinc_gui.exe client. Instead, run the Boinc_Cli.exe client. After you get it setup with the Boinc_gui.exe client, shut it down. Go into the windows command prompt box and CD to your boinc folder. Then type the following "boinc_cli.exe -install". Go into the windows services and click on the Boinc service. Click the logon tab and click "Local system account". Start the service. DO NOT let your Boinc_gui client start at start up (very dangerous). Just take it out of your startup folder.

Anything that you download from the BOINC alpha project comes with a higher risk. Some of the releases have been MUCH worse than the executables available from the projects.

Been running 4.11 for a couple of days now, hasn't had any problems, but it does appear to fix the error 113 problem (which I was getting on all my projects).

I get 113 every time I am experiencing network access problems. (i.e. my router is down)

Just a note on 4.11.

I am running it on about 25 different machines and have had the cross-project contamination on one. It involved Pirates and LHC. An update to LHC got it back but Pirates has completely disappeared. Nothing that I have done has brought it back. The only thing left is a detach/attach which I will do tonight after I get home.

So, there are still some problems. Stay away from the Alpha's unless you are willing to risk and know what you are doing.

Link.
