The server seems to resend Atlas tasks to other hosts about 4 days after initial download and sends server cancel message to original host. This makes Boinc to abort those tasks on original host if they have not been started yet. Is this really necessary? The deadline is just seven days anyway so the time saving seems very small.

The time window is smaller than our 7 day timelimit (three days without return the finished task).
Saw this in the past months many times.
Agile Boincers are the Computer from Cern-IT inside.
Thinking, they need the success of Atlas-tasks faster than we can do it.
Some time, they have three finished tasks, when our task was started earlier as Agile Boincers.
