Hi, I've become a participant just a few hours ago and it happens that I own, at home we own :P, a couple of computers, my laptop and the family desktop's one. I started installing Boinc in my laptop, it works fine, but then I thought that it could also be run on my familiar pc, much powerful than my laptop, which is working the hole day without using more than 10% of the CPU power... but it also happens that in that computer, opposite to what happens in my laptop, I can install it but I have to set it to work only as screensaver(in my laptop I want it working always), that's the point where I want to suggest an useful improvement for de Boinc client(I cannot configure it to work as screensaver or always as I could with the Seti old one...; if it is possible tell me the way and I beg your pardon for making you waste your time) it would be nice if I could configure when and how it works in every Boinc client... and not just in the web. Thanks :) and sorry for my english, surely this mesagge is filed with grammar and vocabulary mistakes...I hope you understand what I'm trying to tell you. :)

Ghiret

Under Your Account from the main page you can edit the General Preferences. I'm sure you've found this. From there you can add preferences for Home, School or Work. If you set these up as you want them, then from the Computers option (also in Your Account) select each computer and set its location as appropriate.

This allows you three different configurations, and the Home/School/Work title is only a title after all. This might allow you to do what you want now. Changes to the BOINC client might be better addressed directly to the BOINC developers here

> This is a known bug with v4.09 (and 4.05 as well)

It goes back a lot further than that.
