No problem with ATLAS. And no problem with CMS (when it was still alive). about 1 minute after start of a task, it freezes, until I abort it. stderr shows 2020-03-28 18:39:56 (11072): Guest Log: 18:39:55 CET +01:00 2020-03-28: cranky: [ERROR] 'cvmfs_config probe sft.cern.ch' failed. It is useful to upgrade Virtualbox 5.2.30 to 5.2.32 or higher in a stable Version. that's what I did now, I upgraded to VB 6.1.0 (incl. extension pack) which runs fine on some of my other machines. Same problem though with Theory tasks as before: short time after start, the Windows task manager shows no CPU actitity, and the VM console shows only 4 lines: cranky: [INFO] Detected Theory App cranky: [INFO] Checking CVMFS cranky: [ERROR] 'cvmfs_config probe sft.cern.ch' failed. ERROR: Could not source logging functions from /cvmfs/grid.cern.ch/vc/bin/logging_funktions. No idea what's wrong :-( ID: 42020 · Reply Quote
