Hi. Okay, a couple of things to check. What's the file size on the archive? If it's ~3.7 MB, then you should use md5sum to see what the hash is for the file you've got. The correct hash should be: 24ae5c218eeda70daf793352d19c914e If the file you got is ~9 MB, then it seems possible that the file got decompressed during download. If the file size is ~9 MB, rename it so that it's missing the .gz extension. If it's a valid executable, md5sum should return a hash value for this file of: 5322fb39dd6af736bc8aee6c31db35b8 Assuming that the size (9458934 bytes) and hash are correct, you can just chmod the file to be executable and away you go. trane |
