One of my machines (https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/show_host_detail.php?hostid=10509223) has been unable to get any new work for any subproject for weeks now. This began after I got it back from HP for repair and they replaced the motherboard. Initially it got work (or maybe still had the work from before, not sure) but it immediately got a slew of errors because HP doesn't enable virtualization by default. Fixed that and since then can't get anything, not even Sixtrack. The message I get is the usual: --- LHC@home | Not requesting tasks: don't need (CPU: not highest priority project; NVIDIA GPU: GPUs not usable; Intel GPU: GPUs not usable) My priority for LHC is as high as I can make it but just in case I tested it by suspending all other projects. Still no work. I am getting work on other machines. I figure I've done something stupid but I can't figure it out. Any help greatly appreciated. Just please don't LOL if it's as dumb a mistake as I suspect. :-) |

I would let the work run out on all projects, detach from everything, and reattach to LHC. If there are any corrupted files, that should clear them out. |

Thanks, Jim. I went a step further. I just detached from everything and let current tasks die. I uninstalled BOINC and then deleted all BOINC directories. I then re-installed and re-attached to BOINCSTATS and let it rip. It immediately got one Sixtrack but nothing else. I then turned Sixtrack off, waited a few minutes, and updated. Nothing. Turned Sixtrack back on, waited a few, and updated again and then got CMS and Theory. This is clearly beyond my ken. Thanks for your response. That got me on the right track. |
