I can't say for sure about running the Linux client on a P-II as my only Linux box here is a P-III. I do, however, have a P-II 366 running W2k Pro that has 288 MB RAM and it is slow-but-happy running L@h and S@h. A dual P-II 300 is also crunching away with more memory on board. So, the real question would seem to be how much physical memory has your Linux box got and how big is your swap partition. If you're leaving your apps in memory when pausing, it could be that you trip the maximum swap usage set in your prefs. |
