Hi, If this is in the wrong place I apologize, but it seems like more of a BOINC or LHC system problem than ATLAS. My preferences are set not to get ATLAS tasks (because I've never been able to get them to run successfully even if I sometimes get credit). The problem is that I keep getting them anyway. I tried letting a couple run but they got to 100% and stayed there for a day so I'm aborting them as soon as I see them. It's still wasting some time though. What have I done wrong? Thanks. |

What have I done wrong? Probably nothing. But do you have "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" Even if you don't have ATLAS selected, you could get it. In fact, you might still get it even if other work is available. I had that problem, and posted on it about a year ago. (I can't find the post since the "Author ID" limit is not working properly). I think it had to do with the fact that I run native ATLAS, and so had "run test applications" also selected. Just de-select either (or both) of those options, and you should no longer get ATLAS. |

Thanks, Jim. I turned the no work option off and I'll see what happens. I left it set that way (i.e. accept others if no work) because I'd never noticed Theory and LHCb having no work between them but I see now that the total unsent is pretty low so I'll guess that's what happened. |
