Hello! I guess that problem with stability of VM is pretty common. By me leaving Boinc for longer period of time causes task to go postponed (job unmanageable). It says restarting over 80k seconds, basically requires me to do it manually. Can I change this setting (amount of seconds required to restart task automaticaly) and if yes how? |

No, the 86400 seconds postponing time is hardcoded in BOINC's client software. Only waiting a day or restarting BOINC client helps or solving the cause of VM job unmanageable. Mostly caused by busy system where the vboxwrapper doesn't get a response in time from VirtualBox. I solved it by increasing the process priority of vboxwrapper and decreasing the process priority of VBoxSVC.exe. |

Can You provide step by step instructions of measures that You have teken to improve stability? |

If you want to run stable VM-tasks, first select only the Theory application. Set in your project preferences Max # jobs to 1 and Max # of CPUs also to 1 and don't throttle down your CPU, but give it the full 100%. Only throttle when your machine get sluggish. For Theory # of CPU's = 1 is also the best option, if you want to run more tasks when satisfied with your test. |

For me I have the best stability with old version of virtualbox. I use 5.1.38 with no issues. |
