Erich, It seems HITS-files have been received from your tasks. Example: https://bigpanda.cern.ch/job?pandaid=3932182243 PandaID of your last returned task today -> https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=191554464, received at the BOINC server at 11:17:43 UTC As you can see a 273 MB HITS-file is there with status Ready. |

many thanks, Crystal Pellet, for looking into this :-) As you can see from the stderr of the task mentioned by you: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/result.php?resultid=191554464 - the stderr definitely does NOT show a HITS file. Which is strange. Unfortunately, I have no access to the CERN server for which you sent the link - I guess I will have to register (if this is possible). Would be interesting to find out whether also the other finished tasks uploaded by me show HITS files there. If so, I am happy !!! |

thanks again, Crystal Pellet, for your efforts. It's great to see that my chrunching was successful, although the stderr files did not show the HITS files (for whatever reason). I then could connect with Panda (via my Facebook), but did not have enough time yet to get an overview of all the data and information there. I'll continue exploring tomorrow. |

@Crystal Pellet: Today I took a deeper look into bigpanda, mainly trying to find a way to get more information on a given task. Which does not seem to be that easy :-( At some point, I opened the search page: https://bigpanda.cern.ch/?mode=quicksearch regardless of into which field I inserted the Task number from here (i.e. 191616731), or the Work Unit number (i.e. 93612472) - everytime I got "no result". The only field that yields a result is when I put my name into "User" - after clicking on the submit button, the screen jumps to where I can see jobs (not tasks!) with a lot of data - but I could not find any way to link anything there to any of my tasks or work units. Am I missing something, or is this simply not possible? In short: e.g. I'd like to get all information for my task 191616731 (or the corresponding work unit 93612472). Your comments on that would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. |

Am I missing something, or is this simply not possible? In the result you find a line with PandaID and taskID like from your result 191657601 2018-05-21 23:05:55 (3536): Guest Log: Starting ATLAS job. (PandaID=3935108418 taskID=14116885) That PandaID is your Job and the taskID is the batch-number. This info is also available when the task is still running on your machine and kept in stderr.txt in the slot-directory of your machine. When you have the PandaID you can browse to that ID with http://bigpanda.cern.ch/job?pandaid=3935108418 For a still running job it's usefull to discover the number of events ;-) |
