There's a good paper on this topic at https://home.fnal.gov/~carrigan/nobel/Nobel_space.htm There are some anecdotes trying to explain this, and the same for mathematicians (for whom there are definitely no Nobels) by claiming that Alfred Nobel's wife ran away with an astronomer/mathematician respectively.
