If the graphics has been minimized and then closed, when trying to open it again the graphical window does not show up.

Waving your hands and doing the 'These are not the bugs you are looking for' Jedi Mind Trick may have worked at the Seti@home beta, but you'll find that the CERN guys, the guys who invented the internet actually have the technology to fix things.
