I'm not sure where to put this question and also am not sure that the answer is already out there and I just couldn't find it. Please point me as appropriate. My question is ... Why don't I ever see any apps running other than Six Track? I'm signed up in the preferences for all of them. Is it my hardware, my software, or ??? I did see some discussion about difficulties in getting Atlas to run. I starting looking into that and never quite got to the bottom of it but I'm pretty sure it's a configuration issue that I'll work on. (I'm not a computer guru!) No clue at all about the others though. Thanks, - Dick |

My question is ... Why don't I ever see any apps running other than Six Track? Do you have VirtualBox installed? I think 5.1.32 is probably the most compatible for now, though 5.2.6 is also available. https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds_5_1 Also: Boot into the BIOS of you motherboard, and make sure that Virtualization (VT-x) is enabled first, before you install VirtualBox, or it may not be detected by BOINC later. |

My question is ... Why don't I ever see any apps running other than Six Track? I do have Virtual Box running. It's 5.1.26 which is the version on the Berkeley site (https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php). Can I assume that a version later than that won't break anything else, like SETI or Einstein? At any rate, the order of events you mention might be the issue. I'll attack it from that vantage first and see what happens. Is VB required for all of the apps other than Six Track? Thanks, - Dick |

Sixtrack and Sixtracktest are the only non-VB WU's. |

Can I assume that a version later than that won't break anything else, like SETI or Einstein? Version 5.1.26 is fine for LHC projects, and won't affect the other ones at all. But see Yeti's checklist: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/forum_thread.php?id=4161&postid=29359#29359 |
