Due to a too aggressive spam-cleaning campaign (our fault), we have accidentally deleted some valid accounts on Monday. We have restored a backup copy of the BOINC database, and will recover the missing account data.

If you get a message "missing account key" from your BOINC client, you may be affected. We expect that we can fix this later today, once we have verified the data sets. Hence there is no need to register again.

My apologies for this mishap.

It tells me "Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down"

The missing accounts should now all be back. For those of you who registered again, we have appended the old credit to your new accounts.

Regarding the file upload back-off today, it is unrelated to accounts, but due to a crash of a file server. (See the ATLAS application sub-forum.)

How do I get two accounts merged? I created a new account (new e-address) because I did not know yet whether I could change the older account's e-address. Now I can't, because the new e-address "already exists", obviously.

BUMP - Cannot change my account email address, i receive "Invalid password." as error (The password is good obviously). Is this a related issue ?

I can confirm the "Invalid password" error and it seems to be a problem with the upstream code. An issue has been opened.

A pull request has be made to the BOINC code base and a hot fix applied to the server.

Still not resolved, but i managed to do it by replacing the password input field name (inside the HTML) by "password" before submiting the form.

I've checked on several Browser/PC/Network , the password field still have the wrong name (passwd) :/
