I tested VirtualBox version 5.2.2 for the following LHC VM applications on a Windows7 64bit machine:

Theory with vboxwrapper_26198ab5 using VBoxManage interface: OK
LHCb with vboxwrapper_26198ab7 using VBoxManage interface: OK
ATLAS with vboxwrapper_26196: OK*
CMS with vboxwrapper_26196: OK*

* running OK, but has an error line in the very beginning "Error creating VirtualBox instance! rc = 0x80004002"

pse share your experiences of using VBox 5.2.2 with other combinations of OS's.

So fare OK on Atlas running on Windows 10. I cannot test other LHC tasks since they all fail for unknown reason, meaning the BOINC task runs but Condor does nothing. A Linux Atlas task is running on 5.2.2.

Linux Atlas task completed on 5.2.2 without the error line signaled by Crystal on Windows 7 and also on my Windows 10 PC.
