My Atlas WUs aren't starting. They just stay at Ready to Run. I'm not seeing any VMs show up in VirtualBox.

VirtualBox is 5.1.30 with matching extension pack. BOINC 7.8.3 on Win10.

I know VB is okay because I can run SourceFinder VB WUs just fine. It's like BOINC isn't passing over to VB that I have Atlas tasks. I tried shutting down BOINC and restarting it. I even paused every other WU in BOINC just in case something was stopping it from starting... nyet.

I'm not seeing any error messages.

I discovered the problem is the 7.8.3 client. I had a similar issue with a different project on Linux Mint (although a non VB app).

I noticed that some cores weren't being used for other projects even though Atlas wasn't running. I had paused Atlas and the cores became available.

I downgraded to 7.6.33 because I had run LHC VB tasks before. As soon as I launched the client, Atlas started running.

I've reported it to the Alpha list.

that's why I never switch to a new BOINC software as long as the old one still works :-)
