In 1969, while working in Milano at Edizioni Scientifiche Mondadori, I applied for a position in IBM. After the usual tests and an English language exam, I was asked by an IBM engineer: what interests you in IBM? Scientific computing I answered, having a degree in Theoretical Physics. We don't do any scientific computing, he answered. So ended my IBM career. But, 16 years later, I found a position in Honeywell-Bull and ended as manager of UNIX-Bull Laboratory at Trieste Area Science Park. Tullio |

I recently had a hard copy note from Ben Segal, and two other CERN scientists thanking me for my support of LHC. So my interests have not changed. I recently enlisted one PC in Science United according to the suggestion by Dave Andeson and am running Milkyway@home and Asteroids@home tasks. The same Science United graphic display credits me with 22 LHC tasks but I never saw them running on that PC. Tullio |
