Hi

My Boinc client is complaining that the VirtualBox is not installed but it is and I am using it to run windows 7:

"LHC@home: Notice from server
VirtualBox is not installed"


I try to follow the instruction in LHC Troubleshoot section "BOINC complains that VirtualBox is not installed, what to do?" but I got the following output and the problem still exist:

Btw: Install the newest VirtualBox version from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads and also the extension pack.

Your version 5.0.40 is much too old.

Where is this Windows 7 computer David?

And as you posted the main problem is that it says This computer is not attached to any projects

So go to the Boinc Manager for that Windows 7 and add a project.

The Windows 7 machine is a virtual machine within VirtualBox, if I understood the first post correctly.

Thanks Crystal Pellet the re-installation to the newest version of the virtualbox 5.1.128 solved the problem.

Now the message is not popping up in BOINC Notification and the LHC tasks using for example vbox64 are running correctly.
